Liberty BVG/LPP Collective Foundation

For small and medium-sized companies as well as for temporary staffing agencies, this is an interesting, immediately available alternative to the market. Companies joining the collective foundation will be free to choose their pension plan; companies of a certain size may choose their own investments or designate their own professional asset managers.

Mr Stephan Hegner has been elected Chairman of the Foundation Board. He has been active in the occupational benefits field for many years; after studying law in Zurich, he worked as a lawyer for a number of associations. He was employed with the Swiss Employer Federation, where he was responsible for labour law and social policy for several years, before becoming the managing director of an association of entrepreneurs. In his last position with AXA Life (formerly Winterthur Insurance), he headed the collective foundation division with a staff of over 350 employees.

Ms Barbara Bienek, a qualified occupational benefits administrator with a federal certificate, has been appointed managing director of the collective foundation. She has over 20 years' experience in the field of occupational benefits, inter alia with AXA Life, as an insurance broker and as administrative manager for Liberty Foundation for Vested Pension Benefits and Liberty Foundation for 3a Retirement Savings. As managing director, Ms Bienek will be assisted by a team of administration, asset management and distribution staff.
